Prevailing Wage Law - Threshold IncreaseThe State Department of Labor and Workforce Development has announced that the municipal government threshold for the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act has increased to $14,187.00 effective July 1st, 2009. Work such as construction, renovation, demolition, or repairs, awarded by a municipal governing body, is subject to Prevailing Wage if the total cost of the job, including materials, exceeds this amount. The threshold remains at $2,000.00 for work awarded by all other agencies, including boards of education, counties, local authorities, and other local government agencies.
